PINEHURST — FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has received certification as a Primary Stroke Center from DNV, affirming the hospital’s readiness to treat a full range of stroke-related medical problems. 

ROCKINGHAM — John J. Jackson, president, southern region and administrator, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond, has announced he plans to retire on Feb. 18, 2022, after 23 years of service to FirstHealth.

ROCKINGHAM — The Wound Care & Hyperbarics program at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond has received a national award for continued excellence in wound healing, scoring in the top 10 percent of eligible wound care centers. This is the seventh year in a row that the MRH-Richmond Wound Care program has earned this distinction.

ROCKINGHAM— The Joint Commission, the national health care accreditation and certification organization, has certified the stroke care program at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.

ROCKINGHAM — FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond has been awarded the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award and Target Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
