Renovations continue at Rockingham’s Hinson Lake

William R. Toler - Richmond Observer

ROCKINGHAM — Parts of Hinson Lake will be closing at the end of the month for more renovations.

Assistant City Manager John Massey said in a press release Monday that all facilities on the north side of the lake — which include the road,Rotary Lodge parking area, boat ramp, docks, and north Lake Loop walking trail — will close Nov. 30 so the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission can make renovations to the ramp and docks.

Massey said those areas are expected to reopen Dec. 4.

The walking trails and disc golf course on the south side of the lake will still be accessible via Crow Run, he added.

Renovation work began earlier this year including painting of the lodge and reinstallation of the fishing pier.
