New procedure offers alternative to blood thinners for patients with atrial fibrillation
PINEHURST — People in the Sandhills who have atrial fibrillation that is not related to heart valve disease now have an alternative treatment to blood-thinning medications to prevent a stroke. The minimally invasive WATCHMAN FLX procedure is now available at Reid Heart Center at FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst.
