I was in Mrs. Walker’s third-grade class when our neighbor, Mrs. Curry, came running into the classroom. I don’t remember what she told Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Lockhart but the TV was turned on.

Hamlet cross a symbol of 'hope and love'

HAMLET — Ed O'Neal erected a 21-foot cross on his property located on Freeman Mill Road Dec. 2. 

ROCKINGHAM —  The Richmond County Amateur Radio Club recently gave a $200 donation to help the county’s foster children.
