PEMBROKE — The Museum of the Southeast American Indian at UNC Pembroke will host the second annual Lumbee Genealogy Symposium Oct. 24-25.

PEMBROKE — The world’s longest-running and most popular Queen tribute band, Queen Nation, is coming to the Givens Performing Arts Center on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke on Oct. 11.

The Purnell Swett High School valedictorian, who was selected for the highly competitive Brody School of Medicine Scholars program in partnership with East Carolina University, didn’t look far when it came to choosing where she would start her journey to a successful career in medicine.

Indigenous languages expert to speak at UNCP

PEMBROKE — Dr. Richard Grounds, executive director of the Yuchi Language Project in Oklahoma, will speak at UNC Pembroke on Sept. 10.
