RALEIGH — SECU Foundation recently announced the award of a $40,000 grant to Voices Together, an organization that helps children, teens, and adults on the Autism spectrum and with related disorders improve social/emotional learning, communication, and self-advocacy using music therapy.

ROCKINGHAM — A dream nearly four years in the making came closer to reality Monday as ground was broken for the SECU Women’s Recovery Center at Samaritan Colony.

RALEIGH — SECU Foundation is once again working with EducationNC, this time awarding a $40,000 grant to assist the nonprofit with a project designed to promote dialogue and encourage the sharing of ideas and best practices across the state.

RALEIGH — SECU Foundation is continuing its long-standing support for the Institute for Emerging Issues at N.C. State University with a $225,000 grant to assist with the expansion of IEI’s statewide digital inclusion program, Building a New Digital Economy in NC.

RALEIGH —SECU Foundation is pleased to join the collaborative efforts of UNC Health Foundation and other key organizations for a new telemedicine pilot addressing child and adolescent behavioral health issues for North Carolina public school students. 

ROCKINGHAM — The SECU Foundation awarded Samaritan Colony a $1 million grant to assist with the construction of an alcohol and drug treatment facility for women. The 14-bed residential treatment facility will be located on the 25-acre campus of Samaritan Colony. The building will be named the “SECU Women’s Recovery Center.” 

RALEIGH — SECU Foundation is working with the North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership Development and the North Carolina Principals and Assistant Principals’ Association to help increase leadership capacity among practicing school principals through a new initiative called the Distinguished Practitioners Network.

RALEIGH — Samaritan Colony, a non-profit residential treatment facility for men with chemical dependency, received a boost of support from the SECU Foundation to help facility administrators further their vision of opening a residential substance abuse treatment center for women.
