ROCKINGHAM — Thousands of foreign car enthusiasts packed Rockingham Dragway Sunday for the Import Face-Off.
Dragway co-owner Dan VanHorn said this year’s Import Face-Off had the largest crowd since the event has been coming to the track.
The car show portion of the event, with 300 entries, was sold out, as was the vendor space, according to VanHorn. In addition, there were around 2,000 spectators.
This was the second event of the 2024 season for the Dragway, with the kick-off being the inaugural Billy Weeks Shamrock Challenge the previous week.

The first of three Dig or Die no prep events had been slated for the Friday and Saturday prior to the Face-Off, but was canceled because of rain.
The SFG Spring Nationals is scheduled to start a four-day run on Thursday afternoon.
The Dragway has a full schedule of events for the 2024 season.
Next month will feature: Modern Street HEMI Shootout (a series co-founded by VanHorn); the spring edition of Mopars at the Rock (another is scheduled for the fall); NMCA/NMRA All-Star Nationals; Rudy’s Truck Jam; and Duck X Productions’ Battle of the Thrones at Civil Wars.
