ROCKINGHAM — Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond was named a Top Rural Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for the first time. Announced today, The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. The Top Hospital designation is awarded by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization.

LAURINBURG – The atmosphere inside Pate Stadium at Scotland High School during Friday night’s Sandhills Athletic Conference was the most hostel and raucous environment the Richmond Senior High School varsity football team has faced all season.

LAURINBURG, N.C. – Resiliency has been a common theme throughout the 2017 season for the Richmond Senior High School varsity football team. It has battled back to win several games, most recently last week against Seventy-First High School.

ROCKINGHAM – In the last six seasons, Scotland High School’s varsity football program has managed to do something that no other school has been able to match in the last 46 years – they have defeated the Richmond Raiders six consecutive times.  That accomplishment is just one of the many elements that has molded this annual meeting of neighbors into North Carolina’s biggest high school football rivalry.

KERNERSVILLLE — The Richmond Senior High School boys and girls cross country teams headed to Ivey Beeson Park Saturday for the 4A North Carolina High School Athletic Association regionals race, but their seasons would ultimately draw to a close.
