ROCKINGHAM – Summit Church of Rockingham opened their doors for worship in July of 2017. Since that time the church has grown to average weekly attendance of 75 and lives are being changed for the better.

Summit Church’s NEW vision, “REAL people at a REAL church serving a REAL God,” is the driving force behind a season of preparation to relaunch SUMMIT CHURCH 2.0.

On August 5th, Summit Church – Rockingham will host VISION SUNDAY by celebrating their first anniversary and recognizing the volunteers who have been making many “upgrades” to their ministry, including:

–          Converting a NEW second space to a multi-purpose teaching and youth ministry center;

–          Beginning a preschool ministry class on Sunday morning in addition to our Children’s Church program;

–          Renovating the worship center’s hospitality area to a new “café” design;

–          Upgrading the outdoor welcoming area with new banners and a greeting tent;

–          Redesigning our social media and website www.summitchurchrockingham.org;

–          Plans to begin a monthly Saturday “night out” in September for 20s and 30s in our community; and

Beginning Wednesday, July 25th, Summit Church will begin a Community Bread Ministry partnership with Panera Bread in Aberdeen and will have bread products available for anyone in the community who needs an addition to their family pantry and would be helped by bread products.

Simply stop by the worship center from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for a prepackaged bread gift and then feel free to stay for our mid-week service that begins at 7 p.m.

If you are looking for a “REAL people at a REAL church serving a REAL God” at a place where you are welcome, think Summit Church – Rockingham.
