HAMLET — Richmond County Schools would like to thank Sen. Tom McInnis and County Manager Bryan Land for providing wireless access in the Mangum Community Center. The center will provide another safe place for our students to continue their remote learning.

RiverStreet Networks in Ellerbe has also teamed up with local businesses to offer free WiFi to those without connectivity in their homes. The locations they’ve set up in Richmond County include the Town of Norman, Electronics Service Co. located at 1927 US-74 BUS in Hamlet, the RiverStreet Customer Service Office located at 119 Sunset Avenue in Ellerbe and Browder Park in Rockingham.

In addition to the community center, all Richmond County schools have opened their “Guest” WiFi for students to connect their devices to. While in the parking lot, students are encouraged to remain in their vehicles.

Hotspots are also available for middle and high school students to complete their assignments. If your child is in need of a hotspot, please contact their school.
