HAMLET — Abdelaziz Aldeek began playing soccer when he was 2 years old. By age 10, he was recruited to play for a European team based in Milan, Italy. Since then, the 23-year-old who was born in Jordan but raised in Kuwait has traveled his way to five continents and more than 35 countries doing what he loves: playing soccer.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College invites you to start "Playing the Admission Game" on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at an event that will tackle the topic of getting admitted to the college of your choice.

HAMLET – Electric lineman Harold Rogers of Florence, South Carolina, has joined the staff at Richmond Community College to help with the ever-growing Electric Lineman program. Rogers brings with him 47 years of experience setting up transmission, distribution and underground power lines throughout North and South Carolina.

HAMLET — Richmond Community College will offer a Pilot (Escort) Vehicle Operator Certification course on Friday, Feb. 26, at the Hamlet Campus. Class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

HAMLET — Many students who begin their studies at Richmond Community College do not have a clear picture of their future, but because the College offers a wide array of courses and programs, it doesn’t take long for someone to figure out his or her career path. 

HAMLET— Richmond Community College has offered a degree in Human Services Technology program since 1986, providing students with the skills needed to work in mental health, education, family services, social services, rehabilitation, corrections and community outreach. Three of RichmondCC’s graduates had a strong desire to help others and found their calling through the Human Services Technology program. 

HAMLET — Richmond Community College is opening a Family Learning Lab to provide free tutoring for the children of employees and students at the College. RichmondCC piloted this free tutoring service to employees’ children back in the fall, but after the success of the program, College leaders decided to expand this service to the children of RichmondCC students.

HAMLET — This year has been a test of perseverance for many people, especially students having to learn in a completely new way.

HAMLET — Healthcare and children are two very important things to Kristin Terry. That is why the Purcell Clinic, which specializes in pediatrics, is now home to her budding career as a medical assistant.

HAMLET — Cauliflower pizza crust, organic tortelloni, veggie burger, Philly cheesesteak, bacon, French fries and fried shrimp were just a few items that Chuck Watson and other Richmond Community College staff taste-tested for the menu of the new café.
