ROCKINGHAM — Trucks Gone Wild and ProMark Entertainment are  joining forces to announce the 2021 East Coast Truck Jeep & Off-road Festival, taking place Oct. 7-10 at historic Rockingham Speedway.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this event at Rockingham Speedway,” said TGW spokesman Matt Steele. “We’ve wanted to be involved in a Truck Festival event like this for several years now and to see this many cool events happen on the same weekend — it’s sure to be a highlight-filled  festival. When you consider that Rockingham Speedway is such an iconic motorsports venue, the arena-style atmosphere will be electric, literally with several events happening under the lights. It will definitely be awesome.”

Fans will begin arriving at the legendary Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham on Thursday, Oct. 7, after 4 p.m., to camp through the weekend if they like, while also enjoying several amazing truck and mud racing events.

“The Mega Truck races at The Rock will crown the 2021 Series Champions, so it’s like our Super Bowl for this year,” said Mega Truck Bad Boys Racing Series spokesman Wister Ritchie. “We are building an off-road track inside the Speedway in turn one and two, and the fans will have a  great view of just how intense the racing is for the series championship. The obstacle course-style track will be challenging, with turns, jumps and thrills. The series is supported by the best trucks and drivers in the country, along with several from the Discovery Channel TV Show, ‘Dirty Mudder Truckers.’

“We’ll have drivers and trucks from at least 20 different states to compete as it will feature the ‘best of the best’ in this form of off-road racing,” Ritchie added. “Everyone is super excited and looking forward to racing at Rockingham.”

Infield camping and Swap Meet garage stalls are now on sale with limited spaces available. All information is available on the event website (www.eastcoasttruckfestival.com). There will also be plenty of free camping and parking outside of the speedway.

Among the Oct. 7-10 weekend events at Rockingham Speedway:

  • Custom & Lifted Truck Show — The event organizers are excited to bring a Custom and  Lifted Truck show to this part of the United States, where fabricators and truck  enthusiasts can come together and show off their rides. Cash prizes and awards will be  given to all winners.
  • Mega Truck and SXS Racing — The 2021 Series Champions for each division will be  crowned at this event. All Mega Trucks are allowed to race even if they have not raced in a series event during the year, so all 1-Ton Elite Trucks and Unlimited Trucks are invited  to compete. The Cash Purse for this event will be $15,000 along with awards.
  • FASTruck Showdown — FASTrucks from all over the country will invade Rockingham on Sunday for a special SHOWDOWN race on the high banks of Rockingham Speedway. The FASTruck name literally means, FROM ALL SERIES of truck racing series all over the  country; some will be NASCAR-style trucks, some will be ARCA-style trucks, some are from local series, but all will have a chance to race The Rock in their designated feature race. If you have a Super Truck-style truck, bring it and organizers will place you in the feature with matching competition. Each feature will be 25 laps with the top 10 trucks  advancing to the Main Event 25-lap — SHOWDOWN. As many as five FASTruck feature races are expected to fill up and fill out the field with exciting, door handle to door  handle racing.
  • SWAP MEET and VENDOR ROW — Swap Meet vendors will be selling from the NASCAR  garage stalls (12 x 28) and they are on sale now on the website — first come, first serve. Larger outdoor vendor spaces are located outside of the garage area for larger sales and  display areas. Sponsorship packages are also available that will include allocated space, tickets and event sponsorship.
  • ROCK THE ROCK — They have added their own Stereo and Sound Competition to the list of events held on this weekend. Judging and staging for this event will be held Friday afternoon around 5 p.m.

  • Truck Tug of Wars on Pit Road — This great event will take place on Saturday night. All 4x4s are welcome to participate to show off your rides and tug skills. Participants may pick their own partner or organizers can match you up with someone. No rules — just  bragging rights and showing off to kick off the Saturday night party at The Rock. Staging will be from 7-7:30 p.m. with Tugs beginning at 8 p.m. More info will be released later.
  • Jeep Obstacle Course Challenge — A special area is being built for Jeep owners to  challenge themselves and their rigs. The course will be open on Friday from 2-6 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon and Saturday from 3-6 p.m. Sunday TBA. The course will consist of obstacles, rocks, mud and a few other elements to test your rig and your skills. Organizers have an area picked out at the speedway for local and participating  manufacturers/dealers to display their new Trucks, SUV’s and Jeeps for fans to check out  over the weekend. This will be a great opportunity for fans to see many of the new models all in one location.
