HAMLET — This past weekend, The I Can Scholarship Foundation Inc. was proud to join the Prayer & Faith Temple Church Youth Department, led by Youth President Tonya Everette, for their "Fun, Faith, Fellowship: Back 2 School Bash."
The event brought families and young people together for a fun-filled day focused on faith, fellowship, education, and community as students prepare to return to school. ICSF provided a Reading Table, introduced youth to Quest the Bulldog, and distributed Back 2 School Starter Bags and hygiene bags to help students begin the new school year prepared and confident.
A special thank you goes to Tahid Rucker, candidate for Richmond County sheriff, for joining the celebration and helping provide youth with additional back-to-school bags and resources. ICSF also appreciates District Attorney Jamie Adams for sharing an encouraging message about the importance of maintaining a positive mindset toward school and education. Special thanks to Assistant Principal Suzanne Hudson of Monroe Avenue Elementary School for encouraging parents to remain actively involved in their children's education and success.
“Community partnerships like this allow us to meet young people where they are and remind them that they are supported, valued, and capable of achieving their goals,” said Jay Everette, executive director of The I Can Scholarship Foundation Inc.
ICSF extends a heartfelt thank you to the Prayer & Faith Temple Church Youth Department, Youth President Tonya Everette, the event organizers, volunteers, donors, community partners, and the entire ICSF leadership team for making this celebration possible. Together, we continue to create opportunities that empower youth, strengthen families, and build stronger communities.
