Cody Ray Brown, 33, of Rockingham, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1992, in Richmond County, son of Fred Brown and the late Cheryl Simmons Brown.
Cody had a great heart for people and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. In his younger years, he loved playing baseball. He will be missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father, Fred Brown of the home; siblings, Amy Honeycutt (Bo), Brandi Brown, Kelli Barbery and Trey Treadaway, all of Rockingham, and Brian Nelson of Roxboro; nephews and niece, Nick Honeycutt, Harley Honeycutt, Ashton Smith, Lexi Treadaway, Tyler Boyette and Christian Boyette.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026 from 5-6 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet. The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home at 6 p.m.
