Edward Carl “Ed” Letchworth Jr., of Rockingham, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2026 at his home.
He was born May 17, 1947 in Pitt County, North Carolina, a son of the late Edward Carl Letchworth Sr. and Grace Baldree Letchworth.
Ed served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Rockingham and was a manager with Eckerd drugstore, managing several different stores over the years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Greene Letchworth.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Dr. Allison Farrah officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lake Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.
Surviving, son, Benjie Bayne and wife Jenny of Rockingham; grandsons, Maddox, Mason and Monroe; abrother, Donnie Letchworth and wife Mary of Greenville.
The family is receiving friends at Ed's home 1305 Old Salem Rd. Rockingham.
