OBITUARY: Jimmy Ray Lambert

Posted

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Ray Lambert, who departed this life on July 30, 2026, at the age of 61.

Born on Feb. 28, 1965, Jimmy was raised in St. Pauls, North Carolina, where he developed a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of country life.

He spent much of his life working as a farm hand, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, dependability, and love of the land. Jimmy had a true passion for farming. He loved spending his days working the fields and was happiest riding a tractor, doing the work he enjoyed most. Farming was more than a job to him — it was a way of life that brought him peace and purpose.

Jimmy was the beloved son of Jimmy and Geneva Lambert and Lois Hyatt. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering willingness to help others. His dedication to hard work and appreciation for the simple things in life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by Lois Strickland; Franky and Gene Lambert; Candice and Tony Lambert; Berri and Timothy Lambert; Stefanie and Johnny Cummings; Shelly and Debbie Allen, Flora Reece, Jane Alford and close friend Adam “Budd” Causey, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, Jimmy's legacy of kindness, perseverance, and love for his family and the land will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

May Jimmy Ray Lambert rest in eternal peace. His memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved him.
