ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man who allegedly cussed out customers at a local fast food restaurant and dispatchers at the 911 Center.

According to a magistrate’s order, 35-year-old Henry Mack Wicker III, of Rockingham, caused a disturbance Oct. 30 in front of Chick-fil-A on John Street.

Wicker is accused of yelling and cursing, directed toward customers: “This is straight up bulls--t,” and “Give me a f--king way out, I’m gonna walk to the sheriff’s office and b--ch them out” while throwing his arms up in “an aggressive manner.”

He also allegedly called the Richmond County 911 Center and cursed at dispatchers multiple times “telling them someone needed to come pick them up.”

Wicker was arrested without warrant by a sheriff’s deputy and charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct and misuse of the 911 system. He was booked into the Richmond County Jail on a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 6.

He appears to have no other pending charges or previous criminal convictions in North Carolina.

However, court records show Wicker was charged in 2020 with misuse of the 911 system in New Hanover County, but the case was dismissed.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
