ROCKINGHAM — The second suspect in a reported mid-July business robbery has been apprehended.

Records show that 25-year-old Daylan McKinley Brayboy, of Rowland, was booked into the Richmond County Jail at 11:49 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, on charges related to the theft of merchandise from Mad Katz Outdoors earlier in the month.

Warrants allege that Brayboy and 37-year-old Charles Rudolph Anderson, of Maxton, stole three Turtlebox portable bluetooth outdoor speakers from Mad Katz on July 14.

Both Brayboy and Anderson are accused of “using force to facilitate his…immediate flight after committing a felonious larceny and to retain possession of stolen property, by assaulting and causing injury” to a store employee.

Warrants were issued July 15 and Anderson was arrested July 16.

Like Anderson, Brayboy is charged with: conspiracy to commit felony larceny; felony larceny; robbery; and organized retail theft with assault.

Brayboy is being held without bond due to being on pre-trial release on charges in Robeson County. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 13.

Anderson is still being held on a $50,000 secured bond.

Online court records show Brayboy also has pending charges in the following counties:

Johnston - misdemeanor larceny

Robeson - making a threatening phone call, cyberstalking, driving while license revoked, injury to personal property, assault with a deadly weapon (2 counts)

Scotland - attempted larceny

Brayboy appears to have no prior convictions according to records with the state court system and the N.C. Department of Adult Correction.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
