ROCKINGHAM — A Richmond County man is facing seven drug and weapons charges after allegedly being caught with meth.
According to arrest warrants issued to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Brian Michael Wilder, of Rockingham, was allegedly found in possession of an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine on Sept. 30.
Wilder was also reportedly in possession of: three glass smoking bowls; a metal smoking pipe; a glass marijuana pipe; two digital scales; and assorted plastic baggies. Deputies also reportedly found that Wilder had two sets of brass knuckles and a Taurus G3C 9mm handgun.
Wilder was arrested and charged with: possession of methamphetamine; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine; possession of a firearm by a felon; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana paraphernalia; carrying a concealed weapon; and carrying a concealed gun.
He was booked into the Richmond County Jail where he is being held without bond, and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15.
Online court records show Wilder has the following pending charges in Moore County from earlier in the year: two counts of felony larceny; and possession of stolen goods or property.

2006 - driving while license revoked (Bladen)
2007 - driving while impaired (Bladen)
2011 - operating a vehicle without a license (Bladen); driving while license revoked and speeding (Robeson County); driving while license revoked
2017 - driving while license revoked
2019 - three counts of driving while license revoked, operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility (Randolph)
2022 - two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
2023 - possession of a firearm by a felon
2024 - possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon
