ROCKINGHAM — A Florida woman is facing drug charges in Richmond County after allegedly stealing from the local Walmart.
An arrest warrant alleges that 39-year-old Sabrina Nicole Perez, of Orlando, Florida, stole $147.67 in merchandise from the Rockingham Walmart on Oct. 7, including: women’s socks; a romper; dress shorts; a fleece shirt; panties; a bra; a LOL plush animal; and a chicken sandwich.
The warrant, issued to the Rockingham Police Department, also alleges Perez was in possession of: unspecified quantities of cocaine and fentanyl; seven methylphenidate hydrochloride (Concerta) pills (used to treat ADHD); and various items of paraphernalia including two glass pipes with residue, two push rods and scrubbing pads.
Perez was arrested and charged with: felony possession of cocaine; possession of fentanyl; simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and misdemeanor larceny.
She is being held without bond in the Richmond County Jail.
According to the release order, Perez was recently convicted in Florida for obstruction of justice and is on probation. The order states that Florida records show more than four prior convictions, “however other charges were hard to determine if convicted or not(.)”
The release order also notes that Perez was “very cooperative with law enforcement during investigation and arrest.”
Her next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 15.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
