It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Franklin Eugene Young Sr., affectionately known as Frankie, of Hamlet, North Carolina. Frankie departed this life on Nov. 1, 2026, at the age of 77.
Frankie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was filled with moments, memories and experiences that will forever remain a part of the lives he touched. Though his time here has come to an end, the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on through the people who loved him.
Franklin leaves behind his son, Franklin Young Jr. (Gene), his daughter-in-law, Asheley Young, and his four grandchildren, Kimber, Kaleb, Kolby and Kamden. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared and carry his name and memory forward.
As we say goodbye, we are reminded that although we may grieve the loss of someone we love, we can find comfort in our faith and in the promise of eternal life. While he may no longer be with us in person, his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life to celebrate and honor Frankie's life on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Ghio Church of God of Prophecy, 668 Springhill Church Road, Hamlet.
Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be forgotten.
