Robert Edward Cline, 67, of Rockingham, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
Robert was born on Nov. 30, 1958 in Darlington, South Carolina, to the late Thomas Adrell Cline, Sr. and Hazel Louise Broach Cline.
He worked for many years at Burlington as a weaver. He enjoyed fishing and watching "Everybody Loves Raymond." Although he was an introvert, he loved to joke around with his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lundy Cline; brother, Thomas Cline Jr., and sister, Kathy Cooper.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Cline; grandchildren Jullian Cline and Justus Cline; stepchildren, Christine Wheeler (Harry) and Walter Lundy (Mike Parker); step-grandchildren: Amanda Wheeler, David Wheeler and April Wheeler; two step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Darlene Webb (Steve), Dale Moss (Billy) and Michael Cline (Kim); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 2 p.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial park.
